Multimedia piece - Statement, Production Roles, Camera Shots, Video Style.

Statement:
For the multimedia content required for my website I have chosen to do an interview with an upcoming producer director. This will fit into the overall ethos of my website, relating to film and television. This video will fit into the style of the website as many website magazines contain interview styled content with various celebrities. Whilst I will not be able to ask celebrities to help out on my website, I will use a series of scripted content to create a video similar in style and technique. The television show discussed within the video will also be created as a way to create a realistic scenario around the video. This show will include much of the intended target audience and include representation and expression to fulfill the brief. It will be embedded into the website via a playable snapshot onto the website, similar to how many mainstream magazine websites include multimedia content.

Production Roles:
The process of creating this video will include the three main stages within all productions. The Pre-Production phase will contain the script writing, location scouting, risk assessment and casting roles. These processes will allow me to create a multimedia piece with the same process and quality as that of an actual mainstream magazine website. The Production phase will include the main filming process which will make up the bulk of the video. This process will be created with the same process and quality as mainstream multimedia pieces. Both participants will have learnt their lines and multiple takes will be used to create an interesting video with a similar quality level to professionally made videos. The interjection of other shots will also be filmed during the process, ready to be used within the Post-Production phase. The Post-Production phase will consist mainly of the editing process, cutting and editing most of the clips filmed in the Production phase together. The interjection of music will also be added within this process. This music will have to be royalty free music, free for use within my video but also relevant to the video I am creating. The combination of all these phases should create a video with a similar quality of videos seen on mainstream websites.

Camera Shots:
The main style of this video being an interview, camera shots and camera movements will be similar to this style. Close ups and mid shots will be primarily used to create a professional styled interview video, allowing the audience to see the face of the participant and see facial expressions or reactions to certain things. The interjection of over the shoulder shots, long shots and extreme close ups could be used when demonstrating the day to day working of a producer within a film production. The movement of camera will be limited to static cuts with not much need for sweeping shots or movements due to the interview style of the video. The static cuts could be used to switch between the interviewer and the interviewee as well as showing the interviewee and the work they do within the day. Overall, most of the camera movements and shots will be similar to that of a professional mainstream website.

Video Style:

These video styles are conventional for most interview styled videos. a combination of some of these shots will be used within my video in order to create a conventional and professional styled interview. The close up and mid shots of the interviewee are conventional and something I will be utilising within my video. I might also use the two-person shot in order to create a more relaxed and professional video. Overall, the use of these shot types should create a professional video conventional of most magazine websites.
